2020 Montenegro protests were triggered by the Government attempt to regulate the Orthodox church properties. In March those totally peaceful marches were warming the climate in the country. The society was boiling, bringing changes later: in September the opposition won the majority in the Parliament. Pro-government parties lost their votes and were pushed down.
